In this series of videos I will show the structure of HALO 3 maps with their barriers and zones.

Debug - Environment - debug instanced geometry
= blue =
This will show you the structure
of solid objects.
You can also see invisible blocks
but you can’t see invisible barriers.
Debug - Environment - debug structure soft kill = yellow =
The softkill-barriers (also known as kill timer) kill Players who walk on the barriers.
They don't kill immediately, but after a few seconds.
Debug - Environment - debug structure soft ceilings = blue inside / red outside =
The soft ceilings are also known as elastic-barriers or magnetic-barriers.
They don't kill but they act as an elastic map boundary.
Scenario - Game Data - Trigger Volumes - safe_zone = green (or red) =
safe_zone:
Every map has a safe zone.
Only inside this zone players can survive.
When you leave the zone you die immediately.
kill_zone:
most maps also have kill zones.
If you enter them you will die immediately.
