The wreckage of the Titan submersible has been located by a French ROV, the Victor-6000. At least one of the two titanium endcaps have been found and identified by the U.S. Coast Guard's Unified Team. Thank you to the many viewers who helped put this together. Sir, your video was by far the most informative video released and released early. No nonsense, just respectfully delivered information

It was very warming and kind that you told the crew to come back after processing grief. In so many industries, if something like this happened, immediate blacklist, even if it wasn’t their fault.

I am a mechanical engineer that works for a composite pressure vessel manufacturer.. So i have a dog in this race... their testing and design are VERY flawed. No proof? no MEOP? No destructive testing? No cyclic testing? Absolutely insane! Also their boss interface is bad.. Their boss needed to be inter-woven with the composite structure and not just epoxied on and i guarantee they didnt prep that bond surface right with a clean room etching and a water bead test. also they probably didnt do a lap shear bond test on that interface.. It is absolutely insane that ANYONE would enter and submerge in that death trap!

Imagine how the people who went down in that thing the time before this, and made it back feel. They’re probably shitting bricks realizing how easily it could have been them.

Thank you so much for validating and giving morale to the young crews who were left to see the tragedy

I work in electronics & play video games. My girlfriend reported this to me before I saw it on the news. When she said "they're driving it with a controller" my immediate response was "there's nothing wrong with that". When I saw it was wireless I immediately uttered "oh my". Your evaluation of the controller is spot on & demonstrates your understanding of safety & reliability in critical systems. Thanks.

Glad you see the value is failure. You damn right we can learn from those engineers who designed and built this thing. Not just the science but also the psychology. Failure is like an onion... it has many layers.

You know what the most galling thing about this, Aaron? The co-founder of the company is trying to control the PR damage the CEO did, saying "he was committed to safety", which has been definitively shown to be complete BS.

I’m a retired military, not US Navy, IG guy from back in the day. I found your first video quite good, and I was waiting for this one to come out and I think you nailed it. One of the things that has been popping up is that the US Navy did not report that the implosion noise detected marked the end of Titan. “Experts”, including some engineers, bitching about “all the time and effort it would have saved everyone.”. The rule is to “report what you know, not what you think you now.” The Navy did not know about the debris field or anything else. The US Navy had no obligation to inform the media or the public. The USCG was conducting the search and rescue, and notifying them was the proper thing to. Thanks for you videos, it got you new sub.👍

It is still amazing that there is no definitive information how many 12, 500-foot dives Titan made before the one that destroyed it.

No blame should be thrown to anyone but the ones ignoring the safety messures.

I appreciate your call to accountability at the end, to discuss and share findings about how this submersible was constructed and tested to bring more knowledge into the community. I'm more of an aviation enthusiast and one of the things I try to point out to people is that commercial air travel is so safe precisely because it's so well-regulated and how any incident is heavily investigated. There's a culture of meticulous examination of evidence and reporting of findings is always stressed far more so than assigning blame.

I'm sure with the publicity and scrutiny surrounding this event that some people will be more emotionally invested and looking for to push for punishment at the expense of clarity and communication, but here's hoping cooler heads prevail.

I really appreciate your videos on this. Your other video was the first source I saw questioning the carbon fiber design, and now that coverage is everywhere. I feel you deserve more credit for your reporting on the topic.

You are an excellent Speaker and Reporter. Your video is the absolute most reliable source of information out here to date in my opinion.

Excellent coverage of this tragedy; humble, respectful and informative. Making the best of a terrible tragedy by encouraging the crew was very much appreciated. Thank you, sir.

I’ve been deep in the rabbit hole watching videos about this, seeing the film of the previous dives they took and knowing the hull was weakening as they were filming blows my mind. Also if anyone hasn’t seen it yet, Dallmyd released a video documenting his experience on the titan. Absolutely worth the watch.

My Dad was in the Navy (WWII and Korea), but I never thought I’d be listening to and enraptured by commentary from a submariner! Thank you for your videos explaining this tragedy with knowledge and thoughtful analysis. I’m so glad I found your channel. 💕🐝💕

The statement about the engineers just moved me emotionally. You are absolutely correct, they are very valuable in this field now. What they experienced through the entire project is a lesson that needs to be shared.

Thank you for your calm and factual presentations during this tragedy. You were more informative than any of the hair-on-fire coverage from cable news. You are much appreciated.
