Dont blame the girl, guys. Remember she was an aspirant just like us. She even was preparing for advanced which means she definitely had qualified mains. Ofcourse suicide is not an option but no one better than us understands the pressure. Its just that we all have different ways to cope with it. She didn't have a method or probably anyone near her to console her or show the way. Blaming her is not the answer. A clap makes a sound with two hands not one.

Don’t know about NTA, but society indeed is a murderer for many. Cuz most of us are put in the situation “marks nhi aa aye toh log kya kahenge”. No matter how hard we try to ignore this thought, it still keeps killing us from inside.

Jee main rank ~ 3k
Jee adv rank ~ 5k
I was a dropper
Teacher encouraged me to study by saying you could make your place in top 1000 500
Result was not as I expected
But still I somehow cope up
Got 76.17 percent in board
(They didn't checked my paper
As I have applied for rechecking
Got increased from 69 to 76.17
Thought the actually percentage I should have got was way more than that)
Thought I qualified the criteria
76.17 was out of 600 marks
When reduced to 500 got 74.3
" this where the stupidity of Indian education system enters"
Got my form cancelled
Was allotted iit patna ece in r1
And iiit allahabad it r2
My rank was useless wasted an year
Thought of suicide for a second
" mtlb halat wo 2 3 mahine esi ho gayi thi ki koi aur meri jagha hota toh suicide hi kar leta phir lagne laga koi college milenga ki nhi .... was the toughest time for me "
Every night I woke up suddenly with tears in my eyes with the thought " kash 3 4 mark aur mil gaye hote "

A honest question
1. She already knew about this rule
2 . If she was that dedicated in preparing jee advanced, cbse exams would have been a piece of cake

Ps: just a thought :)

A decent preparation for jee advanced can easily make u score more than 75% it's just a piece of cake for them

agar boards ke basis pe judge mhi krr skte ki aap engineering ke liye fit ho ya nhi tb mains ke basis pe bhi judge nhi krna chahiye ki aap iit ke entrance mein JUST APPEAR hone layak ho ki nhi

she had a lot of options she should have wait and talked to a senior for advice, she could very well have given improvements exams and improved her percentage.

Guys trust me iits and nits are just tags
even if you get a good iit and don't know what to do next is a complete waste, these days you can study anything online so it's fine if you really do not get into teir 1 clgs

There seems to be a war going on in this comment section rn.
so lemme just clear this, JEE mains/advanced are specifically conducted to check whether the candidate has the Aptitude or the capability to enhance his/her aptitude to solve complex issues/questions accordingly through their preparation. Even though the govt. doesn't promote students going to coaching institutes and do specific preparation for this exam, they themselves know that 95% of the student body does this and focus all of their time just for one specific exam, Which neither the govt. nor the IIT or any of these premiere institute desires. they want candidates who have cleared the exam to prove themselves worthy and had managed their day to day school life as well. Since a lot of students come here who scored decently in jee adv yet still gets the so called "back"/"fail" in some courses after coming here too and ends up su*ciding/self harming/depressed here due to not being able to keep with the curriculum and the peer competition. Since their preparation for these exams was solely based on an objective way of studying while here most of your exams require you to provide detailed subjective answers . thus it is mandatory for the student to have atleast a bare minimum level or writing experience through these so called BOARD EXAMS.I hope this clears why the 75% criteria is so important and is casted as a mandatory requirement to get into these premiere engineering institutes.

Being a JEE aspirant i will say that it's NTA's fault.
Because when the CBSE and other state board results come, students cover almost half of the syllabus of JEE. So it is very tough for them to accept that their expected results will not be given. Which happened to me too.

Now many will say about the scrutiny and the review but it is very time consuming.

75 % should be there
WTF is the value of boards then?

as a JEE aspirant specially those who prepare for IIT its not so tough for them to score more than 75% in boards not NTA 's fault ....and there is also an option to improve boards i don't think " NTA KILLED THIS GIRL " thats true ..you can't directly blame NTA

I am not with NTA's 75 % decision but nowadays aspirants are more dedicated for jee and neet and neglecting CBSE high secondary exam so its necessary to make a cutoff for giving entrance exams.
