I've been a qualified guitar teacher for many, many years and always recommend this channel for anything funky and soul-based. I don't do recommendations lightly, but they're well deserved. Keep up the great work.

Love me some Curtis Mayfield!!...his music literally saved my life & guided me into the joys of being a Musician! So, .. I sing & play just like him! He was influential on my song writing style of that kind of R & B...Very cool of you to have illustrated just how he “Played” his ‘Strats & Telecasters!..not too many have recognized his contributions to Guitar Playing & Singing! ..in the Performing Arts...a style unmistakably him❗️👍🏾✨🎶🎸🥂🍾🤘🏾👨🏾A+!

I saw Curtis Mayfield in 1990, he was performing in central park NYC. He was phenomenal. You definitely got the Curtis Mayfield licks down packed. I think I'll listen to some curtis mayfiled right now. I love R&B, Rap, Rock music. I also love Soul Music, the kinda guy like Curtis Mayfield would play.

In case you didn’t notice, a lot of what Jimi Hendrix did was rooted in the style created by Curtis Mayfield.
Jimi didn’t invent this stuff, Mayfield did.
John Frusciante and John Mayer copy this stuff all the time.
What is extremely upsetting to me is Mayfield never gets the credit he deserves.
Thank you for bringing awareness to this!
