I know I’m only one of millions of fans but this man is a genius…..and Depeche are not at all the same without him. Sad but so true

In 2011 Alan mixed "In Chains" and turned the band from "Demo Mode" to Depeche Mode again. Thank you Mr. Wilder for so many years of hapiness. You were a key part in dM´s best years

DM Mode’s most creative period was due to Martin Gore’s songwriting, Dave Gahan’s vocals, and from 1982-1995 with Alan Wilder’s skills as a musician, arranger and producer.

Alan deserves credit for all his contributions during period, but without Gore and Gahan no one would know who Alan was.

Dear Alan, YOU and Depeche Mode are amazing! It was sad, that you leave the band. Thank you for the music!

Quite literally the sounds of my youth, at his fingertips. Phenomenal...♥️🌹♥️

This is the equivalent of synth pop’s “Jimi Hendrix” breaking down his guitar parts and gear. Love it

When I see Alan, I measure how much he missed to dM. Though the band has kept on doing some good albums, I deeply think its soul and style disappeared after SOFAD. As a keyboard player and drummer, his contribution to the sound of dM would have been incredible. A French listener since 87 ;-)

I can imagine sitting on Alan’s couch during this and being in tears.

Still to this day I totally miss Alan in DM. Because he was classically trained he bought more to the 'Mode, in particular BC. MFTM, V and SOFAD. We miss you Alan. PS. And I have all his Recoil stuff. An absolute fkn genius.

I would love so much a tour with Alan on the keyboards, and no drummer, just the synths, and Martin's Guitar riffs.

Oh my gosh such a nice guy. Watching interviews with Alan he is only really animated when talking about or playing music. A true musician...one who it seems was unappreciated by the rest of the band. How could they have let him go? SMFH.
