French MP suspended for waving Palestinian flag in parliament

In a heated debate during questions to the government in the French National Assembly, Sebastien Delogu, an MP for the left-wing party France Unbowed (LFI) from the southern city of Marseille, was expelled from the chamber after holding up a Palestinian flag.

Shortly before the incident, Prime Minister Gabriel Attal had dodged the question of recognising a Palestinian state, raised by the leader of the ecologists, Cyrielle Chatelain.
