Fun fact: Hasbro released a 3 pack that is an even more convincing camera. Each figure is a different color, and there are some new items to attach to give it that true camera feel

Hasbro did a brilliant job, Refraktor (originally called Reflector) is one of the original Decepticons who debuted in the 1st Season of The Transformers

So Hasbro remade this set of three figures to be more in line with the original "Reflector" set.

It came in a box that looked like what you got an expensive DSLR camera in. And each of the three is colored like the original and has extra bits that make each piece unique.

The right side, looking from the back, is red and has a detachable handle with shutter button, much like a professional DSLR camera has. The Center has the upper viewfinder shell to mimic a real DSLR and the bot is black and gray. The left, is blue and has a weapon flashbulb just like the original.

Source, I owned the original set until Gram Gram tossed it out, and I own both a ser like you have and the special edition that I described.

Bonus, all six figures of the two new sets can snap together, but the result looks slightly silly...

I bought the 3 pack that had Viewfinder, spectra, and Spy glass. They different colors an like the G1 it was Generations select which was a great buy still got one Refractor as well.

As a starscream and seeker sycophant, i would have never looked twice at this robot camera figure that you have to buy 3 times in order to build a not at all convincing camera. However, this video somehow sold me on this figure by highlighting how sturdy and simple the robot to 1/3 of the camera transformation is, and by highlighting the intelligent design behind the weapon and shields merging to one.

That Decepticon's diguise was so good, it evoked the the MicroMan design it was originally based on.

In the show they were 3 nearly identical guys who turned into a camera. It was pretty cool

They also did a really nice repaint called scrapface, problem was that it was for a walmart exclusive limited line so you had to find three of a heavy scalped and sought after figure that stores where lucky to have 1 of. I remember going to dozens of Walmarts to get all three, it wasn't as bad as something like Netflix ER soundwave but it sure was frustrating

Honestly one of my favorite transformer figure molds. Truly is great and good for army building

This is one of the most versatile transformers ever designed. Google fan modes for this guy and there's tons of different things people come up with. Combiners, scorpions, crabs. All kinds of stuff. When these first came out I spent hours just finding different ways to configure them together. One of the best transformers they ever released.

I mean, yes they did, but he’s basically the perfect army builder so I have a little deceptisquad on my shelf they combine into what I mentally call a “photonic tri-cannon” turret but we all know what it is. I love bad guy grunts and this guy is great.

The premium retool 3 pack that actually gave them unique details was pretty fire, too.

The original cartoon had three robots that combined into one camera.

These guys were everywhere in season 1 of the 84 series, as background footsoldiers, mostly doing menial tasks like construction or carrying energon cubes.

IIRC, they were used a lot less in season 2. Even though they still had appearances, the seekers were more popular, and the constructicons were the 1985 toys, so reflector just didnt get the same background usage
