****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******

Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.

We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

It is so nice to see you can remain so clean and tidy whilst gardening. I'm always a mess. Well done❤

I’ve been in raised bed gardening for the last eight years or so and it is so much easier in regards to weeding, on our backs and just overall enjoyable. Bonus. It looks super pretty as well.. Thanks for another great video. You guys are great teachers!

I use those Netting bags also. I replaced the cord with Para Cord. Game changer.

We’re in Iowa and experience the same frustrating weather. Fall crops have been so difficult for me. If I wait too late, things don’t develop, if I start too early, August/September heat can wipe out tender cold weather seedlings. I’m determined though, to figure it out!

This spring I started 2 each zucchini and yellow squash plants . When I put them out in the garden I covered them with that white gauzy fabric to protect them from frost. For the first time ever, I have had ZERO squash bugs! The moths apparently didn’t have a chance to lay their nasty little eggs!

Thank you for reposting your recipe for Tabasco sauce. I got busy right after watching that video and taking notes. I made my first batch. I also had everyone in the house coughing with tears in their eyes. That's ok. Thanks again. God bless you and your family.

Love planting broccoli! You can get an additional 3-4 cuttings after the main head is harvested. The heads will be smaller, but who cares when you can keep harvesting! I have an 80 ft row, and can bring in an additional bushel of side shoots each time, checking in them once a week to make sure they do not bolt.

Little to no weeding or removing intrusive grass, and having everything at waist height will have definitely made your gardening lives easier, as well as not having heavy digging or stone removal.
I have mentioned it before but it never fails to amaze me how it looks as if you have swept the raised bed “floor” - it’s so tidy!
