I bought a brushed Makita and this Milwaukee brand new from HomeDepot for about the same price. Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m thinking of returning the Milwaukee. My novice hands just can’t cut in a straight line with this saw. The “variable” speed trigger is really just an on/off switch. With a large enough blade, I think I can use it like a chainsaw to down trees 😀

Is the blade actually 90 degrees? I got the barrel grip version and cannot get the blade in straight. Takes a lot of finagling

I have one i received in August 2022, it cut good for a very short time. As of this date it stopped working. I called Milwaukee and got no help or parts to fix it. Lover bearing on spindle assembly failed and broke lever ring. Beware of short life Chinese bearings. I replaced it with a DeWalt.

Had to return mine I couldn’t get the blade in straight. When I released the quick release switch the blade would twist slightly

My older jig saw will not cut straight. The blade holder is not aligned with the support wheel

My blade will not stay in? I use the quick install and pull back and forth on the blade after locking it down. It is firmly locked in. However when I press the trigger to start the action the blade ejects????

That makes corded jigsaws looking really bad

Do you feel like this jigsaw can be used for fine finish. Like cutting out the handle on a painted or stained pocket door. Or do you think I should stick to the corded Bosch which does very well with fine finish. I'm nervous about spending the money for it if it's more of a rough saw.

If you have the brushed version, don't waste your money on this, not much of a difference
