Top 5 EASY Industries To Make Money in TROPICO 6 (FOR BEGINNERS)

Today Tropico 6 Tutorial focuses especially on simple industries that can make you money in Tropico 6 quick and these industries are one and done, meaning they only need another one simple industries for them to run, for example, a Creamery just needs a Ranch to produce Milk, that is one industry.

Yes, we know there are other industries that can make you more money in Tropico 6 however, for beginners they are not ideal since it is not a 'One and Done' Industry, this is why I only included industries that are ideal for beginners.

If you want more Tropico 6 Tutorials then I have other help tutorials videos for you, make sure you check out the playlist below.

I read the comments and I hear the request, here is a helpful tutorial for all the new Tropico 6 players. Keep in mind, the Industries I am recommending here are for people that just started playing.

YES, we know other industries make more money, but I am focusing on the 'One and Done' industries, meaning ones you can pop up, do not need a lot of workforce, and only need one other industry to make them run.

I think you missed what is probably the easiest money of all - the Lumber Mill. It won't make as much as the Rum Distillery over the long term, but it's startup costs are MUCH less. 2 Logging Camps + 1 Lumber Mill (set to Hasty Debarking) costs just $7, 100. Compare that to the Rum Distillery + 2 Plantations which costs $12, 600. And you'll almost certainly want the Dunder Still upgrade to maximize profits for another $5, 000. The Lumber Mill setup also uses less space and requires fewer workers (16 vs 20). You also don't need to worry about soil degradation with the Logging Camps. I'd still use the Rum Distillery (or even several of them), but I'd also build one or two Lumber Mill chains just for some extra profit.

Moving into the World Wars Era and there's a similar argument. The Cigar Factory might make better profits long term, but that requires Tobacco Plantations and a bigger investment in $, space and workers. The Shipyard costs less and only needs a bit of space on the waterfront. Then you can turbocharge the profit you should already be making from your Planks by turning them into Boats. Because you're not paying for all those Plantation workers, I think the Shipyard could actually exceed the profits from the Cigar Factory chain.

I played T5 along time ago and it was so over whelming and i was barely able to scrap by. I started playing T6 yesterday and it was just as overwhelming but they added alot of numerical info to stuff that made it easier "like plantaiton effectiveness %" and now ive stumbled upon your channel and guides. I love the cadence of your voice and how you keep it simple, ive got one of your videos playing in the background almost constantly while i play...thank you for all your hard workk!

Good to see, I kept trying to set up new industries, vertically integrate them, and then close down underperforming industries, but since I didn’t know what I was doing I just kept hemorrhaging money until I went bankrupt. This should help.

I got into this game a few days ago, picked up the beginners bundle on Switch (don't judge me I'm broke) but everytime I play the game I always end up never being able to leave the colonial era because I just can't make enough money, my expenses always outcost my income and I become reliant on the foreign aid, videos like this are super helpful, thank you

picked this game up a couple weeks ago, really want to like it but it has a steep learning curve
failed my first run already, my approval rating was 98% but then i made an improved housing promise in a speech which i failed and lost like 75% of my approval rating and started losing money cus none of my products were making it to the docks even with 3 teamsters offices

I want some of the tropico 4’s buildings to make a return. Also, I want more control over El Presidente, including making him participate in combat like Tropico 4.

God bless, sincerely. I bought this game, go into the missions, and I go into a massive debt spiral. This is helpful.

Thanks! As a returning player I‘d like to know whether the old rule to max dock workers‘ as well as teamsters‘ and constructors’ still stands iyo.
And why? Do workers still gain experience->efficiency if they stay at the same workplace? Or do high wages by themselves cover this efficiency boost?

i played Tropico 5. While it's great, it lacks complexity and gets boring rather quickly. I think Tropico 6 is the answer as there are more diverse industries and choices to make.

btw i agree Rum and Cigar factories are really the best and easiest ways to make money, just like in Tropico 5

I'm still struggling. In the pirate King level. Have the rum and lumber. Lots of mines. But not making money. Tried everything. Praising factions. There's no tourism availability in this Era. Very frustrating. I don't have homes but that doesn't make money ppl just make shacks plus upkeep is high.
