The Eternal Battle Board Game Preview

Will and Intern Dan take a look at the new The Eternal Battle board game from Poison Studios. It's a tactical strategy game with minis, dice, and cards and it's coming to Kickstarter soon.

Does anyone have any idea what happened the Dmitry Yankovsky (the man behind Poison Studio and behind the Eternal Battle boardgame)? It appears as if he has disappeared off the face of the earth, nobody has heard anything from him in over a year (even Nik None, who was recruited by Dmitry to write the story for this boardgame - and who finished his work on that a long time ago - can't reach him)

How many info about game world we have? You said something about world`s history in the rulebook. And what about campaign story, what are we doing in this (two?) campaigns?

What you think about replayability? Or at least about amount of content. Don`t want to pay for game I will play just one time and then sell it. How different new walkthrough will be.

Saw them demonstrating game two month ago in Moscow. Was very interesting moment when party fight against waves of enemies. And at the end there were some gnoll with white flag, and party just make peace with them. There were one player who was like: to hell with this, I just want to kill something!!! And other guy at the table (roleplay like he talking to gnolls): “Our medic is pretty angry. BUT! If oyou`ll help us to find Conor Honorhand we`ll make sure she wouldn`t kill you” Other guy, who played hunter: “At least not all of you…”
Fun stuff these particular gnols really lead them to their target one page later.

Can you exchange equipment with you friend during the fight?

I read that there will be bosses in the game. They are just “bigger” version of ordinary gnolls? Not by minis (I saw there is different miniature for the boss). But in game stats –they just hit harder and have more HP?

I like this game. Have you seen other games of this type? I mean tactical battle on squares, cooperative, with story (preferably non-linear like here ). And square tactics must be not like Massive Darkness –where on one square there can be tons of enemies –but more like one square = one person, so you should think about positioning. Could be hexes –not squares –I don`t care. But please, do tell me.
