Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) - 🇰🇷 SEOUL WALK

Just the other day, I walked around the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), recently opened on March 21st to the public, located at Dongdaemun History & Culture Station (Exit 1).
In this video, I include footage from around dusk as well as footage during night time.
This amazing, modern landmark is built on the former sight of the Dongdaemun Stadium, a stadium built in the 1920's by the Japanese during the Japanese occupation of Korea.
In the video, I state that Seoul won a World Design Capitol designation in 2011... the correct year is actually 2010.
At this location, there are several ancient Korean relic sites as well as a partially restored area of the old Seoul fortress wall. These ancient sites were buried by the Japanese to make way for the sports stadium.
Keep watching as dusk falls and I enter night time with the entire plaza being lit up by all types of cool, colorful and animated LED lights.
The DDP is set to become a future hot spot for fashion. Seoul is aiming to have this plaza become the fashion capitol of Asia in the future.

I'm Korean living in Seoul. Since I was young, I have visited Dongdaemun several times however today, it was the first experience to visit there after DDP was built. I was really surprised because many things are changed and DDP is really fantastic. I think Dongdaemun is the place that ancient time and modern time are mixed well. :)
