Landspout tornado spotted in Weld County as storms hit Front Range

A landspout tornado was spotted east of Platteville in Weld County Tuesday afternoon as storms hit the Front Range.

The tornado touched down around 5:35 p.m. between Platteville and Milton Reservoir.

A Tornado Warning was issued for a portion of Weld County due to the landspout. That warning was allowed to expire at 6:15 p.m.

A tornado near Platteville in the second week of June? Sounds like deja vu to me. Luckily this one doesn't appear to have been nearly as powerful or long-lasting as the *forty-minute colossus* that carved through Platteville, Firestone, and Frederick back in 2021.
