u2 had made many songs...I believe at least 140...most of them are worth listening too...cannot say that about most bands

I am not sure why they would give away this bands songs on iPhones. I personally loved all of the free songs quite a lot ^^ The beginnings can be a bit slow on some of them, but I personally think that they are good songs! :D
