I love watching and listening to Rita and her Mom perform together! They're both excellent performers and you can feel the love between the two of them. I could listen to them play their beautiful music all day!

This performance in Vincennes is a particular favourite (among many favourites). Rita has a bit of a cold and smooches up really close to the microphone for an effect she discovered with the SAJB (Sound of Love, etc. even balancing her nose on the SM58!). This warm, thrilling intimacy to a sleepy lullaby, delight enough, is then seamlessly matched with her warmest, smoothest trombone. (Even more gorgeous than her blissed tone in Ballad for WS, St Georges Quartet.) What an adventure she has with her ongoing musical discoveries.
