We test a figure 8 follow-through against itself in this specific video to see the actual break strain. At the same time, we try the Bowline Knot with an added granny not to help support the strength to prevent slippage.

Nice test Rob. Wow, surprised the bowline didn't do better. Could you maybe do a short video on how to tie that figure 8 on a spear? Thanks!

Thanks for these solid tests. Would be interesting to measure how much performance is lost with a bit larger figure 8 knot compared to the standard Dyneema knot we all use (shaft speed, range). My guess is that it is not crucial - but might be totally wrong. Keep it going guys! ><)))*>

Hi Rob. Any idea when your Timberline spearguns will be in Denmark? Our local distributor ordered one for me back in late february and I can't wait to try it out!

Rob, can you do a video on how to drill a hole through one of your spears, I’m trying to move my flopper down the spear because after sharpening after time the flopper is too close to the end of the spear, I’m curious what the best way to do this is, I’ve gone through several bits and this metal is difficult to drill through, any input or advice would help out a lot, thank you…
