I've worked in the construction industry with guys from all over the UK. The Welsh are definitely the maddest and nicest guys to work with.

I think it's generally agreed, at least over here, that when YOU say 'shocking', you mean 'surprising', or 'unexpected'. Here in UK, the word 'shocking' means 'unexpectedly unpleasant'.

I’m Welsh/Canadian. I spent my childhood in Regina and then moved to Tregaron (where the Red Kites fly). I’m a fluent Welsh speaker and we speak Welsh at home. All my children work in Welsh as do I. It’s a beautiful country and I’m proud to say I’ve lived in the two most beautiful countries in the world.

Your daughter has good taste. I had I-Spy books when I was a child in the 1970s, and bought a few for my children in the 2000s/2010s. Well done.

It’s now up to around 30% of people that speak Cymraeg. Over 900, 000 with around a further 600 learning the language.

As a Welshy it’s always really nice to see people from far afield visit our country and enjoy their time here. My little family and I live on the south coast of Wales and the last 3 years in a row I’ve taken my wife, 3 young daughters and our dog up to the very north of Wales. We are heading up again in February to stay near Holyhead on Anglesey for a week. I didn’t know that the red kite preservation was a thing! That’s definitely now on our to do list!

You should visit St David’s the smallest city in Wales and it’s a lot smaller than the smallest town you visited, Saint David is the patron Saint of Wales, It is said that his remain are held in the Cathedral in St David’s city

There's a great joke about a group of tourists that visited and they were getting some food in a local cafe. They asked the waitress if she could be so kind as to pronounce the name of where they were. "Certainly" she replied. "Bur....ger...King". 😄😄😄

When it rains it clears all the dust & pollen out of the air so the light is clear & & bright & the moisture in the air refracts the light & makes the Rainbow !!

Chris's at the 2nd longest place name attempt sounded like a record played backwards! 🤣 Here's another much easier & useful Welsh word for you guys: "cwtch" (the 'w' makes the sound of 'oo' in 'book'), and it means a warm safe hug. 🫂💓

Wales and the Welsh are both so charming! Weeellll, except maybe for the haunted pub. 😨😵‍💫 Thanks for bringing us along. ❤️❤️

I really like your videos. Recent convert to your channel. I’m so appreciative that you are showcasing all parts of the UK. Our small but well formed part of the world has such a varied and rich history and seeing it through your eyes makes me grateful I live here. Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed Wales, if you ever make it back come in the summer and see the mountains, the biggest called Snowdon has a train to the summit so you can still experience it even if you're not into hiking, and try and come during an Eisteddfod too, they're festivals which date back almost 850 years celebrating Welsh music, poetry and culture, they're definitely a uniquely Welsh experience!

Not been to Wales since I was a kid so maybe 40 years. My memory of it is fantastic we went down at the time the 2nd largest slate mine in the world with an underground lake and the cavern walls were full of fools gold, so beautiful. We also went to Portmerion which was cool as The Prisoner was still regularly being shown on TV. It was also a heatwave with perfect weather for the 2 weeks stay in a huge family tent.
