A simple 4th method. Let's complete the quarter circle in a semicircle by extending AO to P. AP=diameter=2R. ABP is a right triangle so we can apply the 1st Euclid's Theorem: AB^2=2R*L=2*(area of the rectangle). Area=6^2/2=18.

Using law of cosines can also get the answer

This figure can't be drawn, is missing some data
This means that the rectangle area only depends on the chord "6", and is independent of the radius.

Selecting a radius in the limit condition: R=6 cos45°, the rectangle becomes a square:

Area of square:
A = d²/2 = 6²/2
A = 18 cm² ( Solved √ )

(R-w)^2+h^2=R^2, h^2+w^2=36, R^2-2Rw+w^2+36-w^2=R^2, Rw=18, it is the answer. 😊

3 solutions - all are different and I struggled to find even one.
