I was in pickle meadows as a young royal marine in 2004. Fantastic training area, always great to drill with our USMC colleagues. Remarkable place, great memories!

I was the youngest instructor there at age 19 in 1989. We had a Color Sargent from British special forces as an advisor. Their mountain/cold weather training is outstanding.

Thank God for The United States Armed Forces, especially The United States Marine Corps!

I passed through the Training Center on my way to Bridgeport in the summer. The pines don't grow much in here and the terrain looks gnarly. Winters must be so tough. My respect goes to these guys.

I've been up Sonora Pass, and that area has some of the most brutal terrain and weather that I have seen throughout this state.

It was the summer when my platoon went through Bridgeport. We had Jungle school at FT Sherman, Panama and Arctic warfare at Ft. Wainwright Alaska. We never had Sandbox training because the stupid sandbox wasn't a priority back then. Now it seems to be the US's only priority.

If only the 2 months of being there is as easy as this video looks. Whether summer or winter it's an awesome experience.

Semper Fi Devil Dogs! I was stationed here back in 99' -01'! It was a very beautiful location and place, but sucked if you didn't have transportation to get around or drive to the nearest cities. Other than that, made some really great friends and I keep in touch with most of my brothers and sisters to this day! ❤💛
