How to buck a log quickly and prevent splitting

This technique uses a vertical strip of wood fibers in the middle of the log in order to keep the log from splitting and reduce the chance of the bar getting pinched

I would term this cut an advanced cut and caution folks practicing it.
Hold the saw securely with both hands, not only is technique important but, saw condition, the saw has to be properly maintained. A saw must be operated humbly or the saw will humble you.
Not to the pro as much as to the hobbiest or beginner, be careful.
What a great cut, done with precision, like a martial artist in a throw, if not properly done can get hurt..

I haven't had any luck selling my timber considering the storm that we had and much of it is damaged, so I am going to fell the trees myself and buck up the logs as best I can and eventually cut a deal with someone to help me get my logs to the sawmill.
Someone offered me 15 cent per board foot on my large undamaged white pines.
I turned him down I don't think that's a fair rate at all.

What size saw is this in the video? I have a 20” Echo and I’m having a ton of trouble getting through logs of that size. Does my technique just suck or am I missing out on a nice chain. The chain I have on there is the stock echo chain that came with the saw.
