Paper shredder version 2: improved reliability and smaller cut size. Completely made of Lego parts. Tested with a piece of paper (regular 90g printing paper) that says "If you can read this, the shredder didn't work". Enjoy!

I love that sometimes the shredder is strong enough to destroy the paper, and other times the paper is strong enough to destroy the shredder.

I love how this dude puts so much hard work into reconstructing the paper so you can read the text, so he can build a new shredder.

You know
Theres a strange satisfaction to watching the middle incarnations of the shredder machine literally tear themselves to pieces in the effort to fulfill their purpose

"Rock paper scissors, go!
What is that hand gesture?"
"A lego shredder. Everyone knows it beats paper"

It's rare to find people who can build LEGO creations that actually work like real machines. Keep up the great work!

This is a really good example of how torque can bend a frame in a vehicle or equipment. Essentially if whatever you're trying to move, or destroy had a greater strength than the engine powering it, it will loose poer like the first gears and do nothing. But without the proper reinforcement all that torque will bend, or break the frame. It needs to be an equal balance of torque to strenth otherwise it will break. A strong frame needs a strong engine. If the frame is to weak the engine will destroy it. If the engine is too weak, it will barely move, or power the item or equipment

Let’s just all appreciate the effort put in to reassemble that same piece of paper after every test. Truly amazing.

As a kid, i always wanted to make a lego shredder, but just didn’t work out. Thank you for making this childhood dream come true.

It's amazing how the Lego shredder either devours everything in sight or just decides to self-destruct in the name of duty. Truly a battle of who breaks first – the paper or the machine!

This is what the L-CIA (Lego City Intelligence Agency) uses to get rid off confidential files

I love how the finished one works as well as a commercial shredder without overheating in two minutes like the ones you get at OfficeMax do

I like to imagine that in the future, this person runs the world and everything is made of legos, from cars to household appliances, and all the way to particle accelerators and space stations

Good one building the safety rail in the end, almost had to call the safety inspection.

1:39 Foundation is coming next to prevent the torque from twisting out the frame to the point of where the right leg is kicking up in the air 😂 this is really cool, good idea

0:17 That looks like some of that recyclable paper packing stuff you sometimes get when you get things delivered now lol

I like that you can see the process. Or more like, that it shows that you need to try things again and differently to reach the desired product.
