The tip is "understand you're shit" which, ok fair. But a better way to phrase it would be the bit he mentions about "good jungler". Becoming good enough at a role like jungle let's your individual performance be enough to carry, so learning the fundamentals and how to expand leads and when to abuse it/be careful with your shutdown is the key. Which is hard but the road to get out of those elos

I'm platinum and every time I lose a game and look back 9/10 it's because I played bad or I had a lead and threw it. There is always something to improve on

Yeah Im in low elo, have been for a long time. The reason is, I am not very good. Yes, my teams do stupid shit. Yes they cost me the game a lot, but I am not good enough to pull them through. So I need to be better. If i cant pull it out of this, I have no business being in higher elo.

always go to a match expecting around 1-2 teammates to underperform. Per season, I can count on one hand games were all the 10 players were perfoming 100%. If all your teammates are playing their best, you will get an easy win (70%-80% win rate). when 2 teammates are playing bad, the game goes to a 40-60% win rate, the normal range. 3+ are REALLY hard to win, but they are winnable noneless and FF'ing those games is just lowering your final rank and degrading you mentaly.

I OTP Gwen jg and I had this problem when I was in silver where I usually blamed teammates being bad and a lot of times they were but I was also making really dumb decisions. I just learned overtime that if I want out I need to be good enough to lead the team to win and if I can’t in silver I belong in silver

when i was in silver i was wondering why because i was astronomically better than every player on my team.

i actually was, i just did a huge game throwing move trying to be flashy every match. when i realized this i moved up to diamond pretty quick lol

As a guy who boosted acc allegedly in low (till dia): You always have to 1v9 every low elo game, cuz nobody has any clue how to play the game. Your team can make all the mistakes they want, it's up to you that you don't.

Jungling in Low Elo is like being a Babysitter watching they dont burn their Hands telling them when to move to certain Areas

I think some people don't realize that they are just maybe slightly above where they are currently at so it will take a shit ton of games to even climb slightly higher without drastically improving and self reflecting on their mistakes

For me it helped to see a friend better than me play out a game in my elo.

I play jungle as a secondary to support. I had this when i tried playing lee sin and evelyn as a bronze player.

Got told to try Poppy and amumu, which initially was like wtf because they looked so basic to play but having those more basic champs helped me learn more about the role of jungle rather than champions that jungle. Always love picking poppy now.

What I hear him saying is growth mindset vs fixed mindset. If you think you're great then you'll never reflect and learn and will be fixed. If you assume you don't know everything you'll start to see what's missing and grow over time

I used to get Plat in 50-100 games and I wanted diamond, but by the time I was close, I was 300 games in for a season and I realized I’m not a scrub, or bad, or incapable of climbing, I just don’t want to invest the amount of time it takes to improve/utilize the law of large numbers. And that’s ok.

What’s not ok is being stuck in an elo and deluding yourself into thinking there’s nothing else you can do to climb and that it’s everyone else’s fault.

I play adc, I'm currently bronze and inting teammates is a problem. I do my best and tell myself that I can't control my teammates but I'll be honest it's tough when you get people who run it down back to back. Like I just played a game, dropped 18 kills, my mid and top were hard winning too but my jungler just ran it down over and over. Wasnt her being bad either, she straight up admitted in chat that she was trying to lose. I do genuinely believe that if I do as good as I do I'll climb eventually but it's hard to keep that mental with the people I get.

The actual thing to say to a person like this is “If you actually don’t belong down in Silver, play more games.”

MMR will fuck you if you get placed in bronze and the backend thinks you belong in silver.

But if you ACTUALLY belong at a higher elo, the only thing you can do is start a new account and hope for better MMR or simply play more games.

Gone from Iron to Gold in 1 season of playing ranked. I already had good macro and vision, so I learned to farm better and got into bronze, then learned to gank better to get into silver, then learned to get carried and got gold. Next on my list is learning to Carry and how to 1v1 better. Hoping for Diamond in 2025.
