Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, This Blazers team was the one that could beat the Lakers and win the title. We were confident they were going to do it. This team had it all, Mighty Mouse, Sheed, Pippen, Sabonis, Steve Smith, Schrempf, Greg Anthony, Brian Grant, Stacey Augmon, and Jermaine Oneal. Watching the Blazers ball out for 3 quarters and then give it away in the 4th was probably the most heart breaking game of the Blazers franchise. Lakers went on to win the title.

Man, for all the talk that Kobe was carried in this three peat there's plain evidence here. In the biggest of moments with the team looking dead in the water, game 7, and all the pressure, Kobe saves the day. Started with the big mid range at the end of the third, immediately followed with a nice feed to Shaw for a big three to end the quarter. Momentum swung completely when he blocked that shot at 1:11:30 and started the ball movement that ended with another Shaw 3. Big shot after big shot, defense, and ultimately with the sweet lob to Shaq. All this at a young age and not afraid of the moment.

One thing I noticed is that Kobe Bryant was one of the best Rebounders of his time at the 2 guard position. Very Good at snatching boards.

I grew up in Portland. I remember watching this game at my homies house. It was such a heart breaker man. Reminded me a lot of the Michael Jordan shrug game. Which was also against the blazers, but it was the finals.
