Long time Etho fan here. Etho mentioned either in one of his modded episodes or while working on the Nexus that he has experience in Visual Basic (by today's standard an old programming language), he has also been a problem solver for years. He's a private guy so there could be more to him, but he has well earned his reputation as a big brain.

It’s hard to say since Etho is pretty private, but if I had to guess I would say he has background in coding/web design similar to Tango, cuz that helps with designing and planning long-term. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s a minecraft legend too

It seems that everyone asks for his opinion, when Etho played Amung us with tango, impulse, skizz, joker and others, tango and impulse they always asked Etho if needed to change something in the game, tango also can't wait to show decked out2 to Etho to know his opinion.

etho developed one of the fundimental redstone clocks still used today: "etho clock" in 2013
pretty much a founding father of redstone, first one to find out about bud redstone, 1st to record 3x3 door etc

Etho has mentioned in his LP he did some video game modding/hacking back in the 90s and early 2000s. I believe he specifically mentioned he made a popular Worms Armageddon mod, but I can't remember much more.

So it definetely seems like he has SOME experience with that stuff.
