Trailer: Hawaiian Airlines presents Ka Huakaʻi - The Journey to Merrie Monarch

Every spring since 1971, the best hula hālau are invited to Hilo, Hawai‘i Island to perform in the most prestigious hula competition of its kind: the Merrie Monarch Festival. Follow the journeys of three of our employees who are also hula practitioners—a teacher, a chanter, and a dancer—as they prepare to step onto the stage.

I never even knew it was on line since the festival was not. The diaspora would love this. I would love this. Please put it up again as we approach the possibility of streaming in July.
