Relationship between Angle, Radius & Arc of Circle -- To study circle very nicely we must know the relationship between the angle made by an arc, radius and the arc length which is
- Theta radian = ( l / r ) radian
Here theta = central angle made by the arc
L = Arc length
R = radius length
Now using this relationship or formula including angle , radius and arc length of a circle we can very easily find out any thing missing out of these three. This formula is very much applicative in daily life as well.
This trigonometry video lesson deals with a word problem where we need to find radius of the circle and arc length is given along with the central angle. Using the above formula written we can very easily find out the length of the radius.
Remember one thing, in this formula both left hand side and right hand side are expressed in radian, so if our given angle is in degree then we need to first convert it into the radian, then only we can proceed further.
