Me and my friends are just a bunch of Queer people trying to get by in the sticks. One of us inherited a tiny homestead just south of nowhere and all of us found a sense of safety there that we had no idea even existed. The first year was all campfires and fireflies but now the government is trying to take it back because the township thinks paradise is a mess and we can't keep up with the taxes. This song, this video, somehow says it all. The beauty, the loss, the magic, like a ghost captured in a jar and left on the shelf too long without enough holes for air.
