Arpeggios are an important part of a regular practise routine. In this C major arpeggio music lesson I show you how to construct an arpeggio and how to play it hands separately and hands together in similar motion. In this video tutorial I give tips on how to use the best fingering method. I also demonstrate how to give the scale more rhythmic direction and music fluidity.

Ok, so i looked for thia for about an hour, best to explain arpegios, i disnt have a clue what.notes to press, now it all makes sense. Use the 3 notes that make the chord, no one else said it so.simple. thank you for that!

Interesting about the fact we can choose either finger 4 or 3 for left hand arpeggio. Thanks!!

When people are looking for videos about how to play arpeggios I think they would like to know tips on how to play arpeggios that cover 2 to 4 octaves for each hand. What is a proper hand position? How to bring the thumb under the hand when trying to speed up the arpeggio. Most people seem to know what an arpeggio is but it's playing extended arpeggios up and down the keyboard which is what causes problems for students. Students need to know how to play extended arpeggios comfortably in both directions with each hand.

I am starting to struggle with my practice now because my tutor has asked me to place my hands further towards the black keys as my thumbs are usually playing the white keys near the edge and she would rather they were further in. The trouble is my third finger can't play between the black keys easily and when I watch people playing on you tube they seem to play outside the black keys and sometimes further in. How are you supposed to know when to play between the black keys and when not.
Like playing arpeggios, scales or Hanon exercises, up until now I've been playing outside the black keys and now I'm supposed to play between them somehow and It's like starting all over again. I feel like throwing in the towel.

is 2-3-1 a viable right hand fingering for C major arpeggio? I'm pretty new to piano, and there might be good reason why nobody is doing it, but it feels the least awkward to me,
