YSL TOY LOULOU - 4 YEAR UPDATE

I've had my YSL Toy LouLou bag for about 4 years now. I've used it and enjoyed it thoroughly, so I thought I'd share a proper update on how it's holding up. I talk about wear & tear as well as the reason why I haven't bought another YSL bag since. Hope you'll enjoy the video!

When I bought my Toy Loulou in 2020, it was my first luxury designer bag. I’ve since bought the card holder and the Niki bag (medium size). I really love YSL and will probably buy another bag or 2 from them. Along with LV, it’s my go to brand these days.

I’ve noticed the YSL brand has become even more popular since then, which is probably why the prices are now kind of high.

I got this bc you sold me on it back when you got it. I really still love this bag I feel like you can dress it up or down. I love that the straps are removable it adds to the versatility

This is such a cutie! I was obsessed with YSL in 2022 and managed to buy 2 bags and 2 cardholders, but for one reason or another, they all got returned. I didn’t like the feel of their durable leather or how hard their magnetic closure was. It was really just me going through a phase learning about myself, my likes and dislikes. Nowadays, I just enjoy looking at YSL bags from afar. This is one brand that doesn’t suit me.

I have this bag in the small size and also the camera bag. I love YSL bags. Your right you get the same vibe with their signature large YSL logo on the front but for me I think it’s what draws me to them. I love the gawdy logo. I have the light beige with gold and definitely want to add the black with silver for more edge. I agree it’s a great bag. Looks great and holds the essentials. ❤❤

Have this in white from a few years ago and am in love with my little marshmallow. They do neutral tones really well and for some reason it’s one of the few brands that looks great with althleisure, daily errands and going out. Also not as worried with getting caught in the rain with this. Even though it’s a white color, it’s pretty carefree!

I find the YSL logo sexy and looks like a jewelry on a bag to me. I don't find it loud and in this era, people recognized famous lux brands whether we like to be discreet. When I bought my 1st YSL, the staff showed me the black logo and said it's more muted but I said I love the old gold logo better😁. It's the Kate 99 that was discontinued I love most but I missed on buying it. I got the Kate 99 Reversible Med and I'm eyeing the Baby Niki in black crinkled leather next.

This is one of my best luxury bag purchases. Use it all the time. It wasn’t hyped up like the Gucci marmont, so I don’t feel it is out of style. Even so, I’ll still carry it.

Shocking that that is your only YSL bag. Although I never owned one either until now. I’m fond the Loulou line and have this bag in the medium size in silver hardware

This was one of my first lux purse purchases - it’s an adorable bag! I wish the original design was still in place - mine doesn’t have the middle slip pocket (just the divider) and I think that would be so useful!

I purchased my toys Lou Lou in 2019 and still love it haven’t used it recently but I will never get rid of it.

Great review! I have had the small version of this bag (black with SHW) for a little over 2 years and it still looks almost new (except for scratches on the magnet like yours), even though it is my most-used luxury bag. I would love to add a toy size in a different color so I could have some fun with different straps, but those prices have skyrocketed so much!

Thank you foe this video. Unfortunately my phone doesn't fit so that was a major bummer. However, the associate showed me the toy puffer and I fell in love! It's squishier than the toy loulou and a little bit larger.

I've always wanted this bag. OK there's a lot of bags I want. YSL does have beautiful bags. I love the leather. I am loving yours. I agree it does look amazing for 4 years old. I love the hardware on this bag. Great updated review. Such a great bag. I have only one YSL bag as well. I enjoyed watching.

I love YSL!!. I want the loulou in a small in bone color. I have the medium loulou and the YSL camera bag. I git them before they made their price increase. Thank Gid, but that is why I have not purchased the small loulou. I am leaning more towards the polené bags now. Those are more affordable and I only want a crossbody and one more bigger bag. Keeping my fingers crossed for one as a birthday gift😊

Your logic of why you haven't added any more YSL bags is similar to mine. I don't feel like I need more than one bag in a certain style or color. It's just a waste of money to me at that point. I just want one that represents my feeling of the brand. For example, I bought an LV Twist PM in classic black/silver hardware 4 years ago. That bag is so perfect to me that I do not need any other crossbody bag that is black and silver. But I wanted a YSL bag this year. I was trying to decide between a round Vinyle bag in crema (white) or a dark beige Toy LouLou. I actually would much prefer a limited edition version of these (i.e. with studs or charms, something that makes it unique), but there are none released this year.

I went with the Toy LouLou because I found a brand new, authentic one at a discounted price. If I decide to keep this, then I will never need another bag in this same (beige/gold) color way. I'm still deciding because I don't really like the strap (although I can change out the strap) and it just feels so much lighter (and cheaper-feeling?) than my Twist (which really is my holy grail). It's very cute, but I really think I'm paying for the luxe logo as I have a few similar Tory Burch bags (still designer, but not luxury) that are of same or even better quality at a better price.

But it's great to know that it's a durable bag! Thanks for the update! 😊
