Its much more laid back there thats why I like it. Pattaya and Phuket are over run now with tourists the over crowding is just too much.

I prefer Hua Hin by leaps and bounds over Patraya. And I think that Cha-Am is an even nicer choice if your goal us to just decompress and relax.

Hua Hin my hometown I was born in Khao Tao village but now live in Melbourne.

I was in Hua Hin jan. 2025, very nice place, but 3 or 4 days is enough its not a super big place. I recommend doin the triangle tour. Start in Hua Hin 4 days, then Pattaya +Jomtien+ Naklua 6 days, and finish in Bangkok 4 days. And use Hua Hin as warm up, because Pattaya and Bangkok can be a bit crazy.
