cal joined celtic when he was 8 years old i think. to get to where he is at is not easy, he has earned and deserves his present standing. i have said for years he could play in any league in europe, he is a quality footballer, one of the best midfield players we have seen, do you think lambert or lenny, or brooney, or even mcstay were better than this lad, i don't think so, watch old celtic games from the 80s this present celtic team would wipe the floor with them, why ? because the passing is night and day, trust me, we all look back misty eyed and think our old teams were better, they were not. just watch the old games and you will realise, some of the play and passing was criminal. if one of our players makes a wrong or miss placed pass these days it is a event. and for all the talk about how poor our games are against rangers, just watch some of the old ones, even the lions and gers teams from the 70s, you will be shocked at the quality, or the lack of it from both teams.
