There are several live versions of this thing between 1974 and 1975. All of them, including this one, are amazing.

They were all masters of their craft. We will all be long dead and forgotten and generations and generations and more generations of people will still love Pink Floyd! Especially something like Dark Side of the Moon there's only two bands that really have this one thing in common. Playing incredibly advanced music for that time. The other band would be the Grateful Dead. Pink Floyd played live at Pompeii I think it was a 72 or 73 I believe something like that or 68 it was within those five years and then the Grateful Dead got an idea. It might have come from Pink Floyd playing at Pompeii. In 1978 r77 they went and played in front of the Egyptian pyramids. They said the reason why we did it with to see if we could tap into ancient energy that's been there forever answered affect the music. It's great thank you for uploading, I love it. Hoped you liked the little inspirational story.

One of their best songs for sure! As good as their early stuff, which is their best stuff!

DSOTM performances, having to somewhat follow pre set timings / clicktrax & like, more or less brought to an end their prior signature improvisational jamming - except for this (+earlier, Miles Davis inspired OTR): I always thought / would argue, you could know how comfortable, enjoying themselves the band were by how this track was played / crucially extended: and this is a tops styling rendition (even get RW's tiny little Echoes interjection) SUPERB= thanx for uploading.
