WADE FISHING for LIMITS of SPECKLED TROUT with TOPWATER LURES! (Catch & Cook)

In this video I revisited one of my favorite old Wade fishing spots that I hadn’t been to in a while, the Bolivar flats! We had some overcast weather and low southwest winds which made for a great morning of throwing topwater lures. We fished under some big flocks of birds on the beach and started the morning by catching a lot of undersized trout. Then we moved down a little further and caught multiple Limits of Speckled trout all on topwater! It was a fantastic day of Wade fishing Galveston bay! I then brought the fresh fish home, filleted them, and made a delicious pecan crusted fish recipe. Hope y’all enjoy the video and make sure to stay tuned for the catch and cook part of todays vid! No need for an egg wash... season the fillets (or shrimp), flour them, mix some of the leftover flour w/ milk and that is the wash. Panko and Zatarain's Southern Crispy my go-to breading. Been doing that for years. If you want to get fancy, use butter milk, it's better than an egg wash (restaurant trick). Cheers 🤠

Next time you do redfish on the half, make some fried cabbage and sweet conbread.

Simple baked sliced pecan zucchini ... use your same mixture.. add teaspoon of baking powder to flour.. preheat oven before you fry fish.. bread zucchini first and put in oven while it's preheating to 375..
By the time your fish is ready take both out of oven at same time... should be about right. Don't crowd zucchini. If zucchini is not browned some, leave another 5 minutes or so as fish cools..

I see you fish with waterloos. Keep those older ones. Looks like they changed all their blanks to Phenixs (except the salinity and phantom), which dont feel as good as the old ones and are imported blanks now
