Delighted that the YouTube algorithm forwarded Ms Basilio’s music to me . . . had never heard of her! And after about a week of closely listening and greatly enjoying a number of her tunes, I recognize her as the vanguard of great guitarist, so many of them non American; Lorenzo Ceci (Italian), Rhythm Shaw (East Indian) and the remarkably talented Lari Basilio (Brazilian). As a former mid-late 70’s college jazz disc jockey, it is gratifying to see the fusion foundation laid down by Return to Forever, the Mahavishnu Orchestra and Weather Report is so ably being built on 🎶😮😊😄
