Hi! I can attest to the "it can cause you to grow facial hair". I started using castor oil (Jamaican Black) after a lash serum (Grande Lash) caused them to break and fall pretty badly. It did amazingly well (my eyelashes grew stronger and longer) but I noticed that the hair around my cheeks/jaw started to darken.
Initially, I thought that it was just my perception, but after a while my sister stared at me one day and said "Why do you have a beard?" (she's not mean, just very honest 😅) and there I knew that it was not my imagination and I stopped.
I am thinking about using it on my hair now because it worked so well for my lashes, but I would apply Vaseline on my hairline first as a barrier to lower the chance of getting the oil on my face. I hope this helps! Xx 😊
P.D.: 1. I have very oily/acne prone skin and it never caused me to breakout. 2. I wouldn't use it if I were married/slept with a partner. It is the thickest, goopiest oil I have tried (I was a Beauty Advisor at Ulta for 4 years and we received samples and tried everything new that arrived before its launch). No matter how little you try to use with a Q-tip, it looks pretty bad. Some people don't care, but I do... 🤗

It's great to strenghten and darken lashes and brows 😊 as for acne -yes but better to use squalate 😅 it won't increase facial hair 😬

I’m 58 and use castor oil on my face after applying my Tretinoin each night and I don’t have extra hair growth on my skin. Maybe due to may age and different hormones after menopause? Not sure but I’m curious if it’s really a problem for some?

About 60 years ago, my mom was past her due date with my brother. Her doctor wrote a prescription for the pharmacy to mix some caster oil in a glass of root beer. This was when some pharmacies had a soda counter in them. My mother sat there and drank the mixture. My brother was born that night. She could never drink root beer since then. It must have tasted awful!

I'm a very dark blonde/light brown haired Caucasian lady and I have blonde peach fuzz on my face but i would never dermaplane. I tried one tiny spot on my jaw and it came back bristly and rough. NO THANKS. Never again

Could you do a detailed video about mandelic acid, please? Beside being part of the BHA's category there is not much studies out there about this ingredient but I feel it is a super ingredient since I have heard a lot of people trying the one from the Inkey list and had such great results with redness, texture and acne. I used organic castor oil (in a dark bottle) around my eyes the other night for the 2nd time & got a nice fat. It clogs my facial pores
