Painting Animal Fur on Miniatures: Methods, Colours and Patterns

Description - Beastmen Brutes from One Page Rules are very feline in appearance. Which made them a perfect thing to show how I paint fur, in both a beginner way, and a more advanced way, but also despite my own ideas for a colour scheme, I thought I might try some from around the animal kingdom itself with Lion Colours, Tiger Stripes, and Snowleopard spots. But there’s also a cheeky little hyena that found its way in so I give him some spots as well.

I do like that One Page Rules chose to model a variety of animal people for their Beastmen line. Not just copying GW's goat/bull men wholesale. Plus, they've got hyena men, and it's always nice to see Gnolls get some love.

I like what you have done here with painting of the beast-men, being a beginning "Anthropomorphic" furry miniatures painter this gives me a lot of ideas and help. Have you looked into some of the miniatures from Sally4th off their Critter conversion kits?

We need more sci fi anthropomorphic miniature folks. Everyone does fantasy but what if you want some Caitains or Kzinti for Star Trek? One of my rpg's ive got captain thats canine Vulpinian sort. Or maybe some Moreaus for Shadowrun or Cyberpunk?

0:10 "excited" is not how I would describe my mood. Rather, anxiety and worry...
1:10 WRONG. the first step is NEVER to prime.
Step 1 is removing welding errors.
Step 2 is washing the minis with dishwasher stuff.
Step 3 is priming dark from below and white from above.
Step 4 is your step 1.
