If those companies do this shit in industrialized, progressive nations, what, do you think, do they do in poor countries?!

I work with Amazon and I approve this message. It’s all about metrics. Amazon looks at you as if you’re a productivity machine, a robot, not a human being.

I love that Bernie is shining a light on Amazon's dirty secrets. Most people focus on WalMart, and they deserve all the criticism they get, but they are far from being alone when it comes to exploiting workers.

And that in the UK. In Europe people are supposed to be more civilized than that. It seems that Bezos does not care about the wellbeing of his employees while the company can easily afford decent working conditions and a decent salary. He knows that his employees are being treated poorly, he does not care and he lies about. The government should make it impossible for people like him to run a business in that way. I haven't been buying anything from Amazon since I am aware of these problems.

No Unions eh ?
What the hell do you expect then ?
That's why the bosses hate unions.
Unions don't let them do these things !

The solution would be to wear adult diapers and a Camel Back. Oh, and be sure to carry protein bars and energy gels. Or, bananas.
This company is just begging to be unionized.

I work at amazon in CA in an FC where we sort the packages right before they're sent out to be delivered. It's super shitty. The scanners we use are strapped to our fingers and half of them are old and broken to the point where some people are forced to tape them to their fingers. The belts on some of the assembly lines are broken which usually leads to a backup of huge and heavy boxes that fall onto the floor and become a dangerous trip hazard. They've been broken for like 3 weeks now like they're refusing to fix it making our jobs as workers even harder. Some areas have no airflow and it becomes really hot. I could go on and on, but the point is this company sucks.

Think of all the small businesses Amazon destroyed. My city used to have many unique locally owned book stores. Almost all gone. The whole community suffers.

This explains the news story I recently saw reporting a CCTV camera catching a Amazon delivery driver defecating on the side of the street. Hear I thought it was just one disgusting person, turns out it's more likely a disgusting corporation.

As a person who used to work at Amazon, I'm glad that Amazon's horrible work conditions are being exposed. I worked there for a few months and got sick for almost a year due to the stress and dehydration.

I worked at the Rugeley warehouse for a month in 2012. I was forced to go there by a work broker called EOS (who've long since gone under) and I hated every minute of it. Ten hours a day walking around that massive warehouse with supervisors constantly breathing down your neck, timed bathroom breaks, missing out on your very short lunchtime because you have to walk so far to get to the canteen.

There were seven of us who got sent there by EOS. Within three weeks two had quit and the rest of us got laid off after EOS said they weren't going to provide transport for us anymore and we obviously couldn't get there by ourselves because Rugeley's way out in the middle of nowhere and there's obviously no trains going there at 5am...

Senator Bernie Sanders - I currently have a $400 order in my basket at Amazon. I am going to buy all the items at ANYWHERE ELSE than Amazon and WalMart. Amazon and WalMart are not alone in treating people like s#!t. I will do my part in stopping this kind of treatment of workers.

Jeff Bezos should work 12 hours a day at his warehouse with no food water or bathrooms.

I no longer buy from that hideous company. We love you in New Zealand Bernie. Your REAL! America and the World will be a better place in 2020 with you in office.

Tie the CEO up & give him over to his employees (who’re maybe given bats).

(/not to kill! Just rough up a bit)

Or better yet force him to go through the Hell he’s forced on his own people/employees.

Also force him to PAY HIS TAXES like the rest of us do!

I know it is so EASY to say ALL OF YOU walk out but, they can't. Even though it's $10hr, that's all you have.. $10hr is better than $0.. This is just so heartbreaking and it's not right at all.. I stopped ordering from Amazon, cut my Prime off.. I will NEVER purchase another product from them again in life...

Amazon is probably the worst place to work in the UK, The management are trained to be happy because the work is terrible, I worked there and on my first day i was terrorised by a small guy on a trolley telling me i was about to make a mistake, I had not even made a mistake, They monitor everything and treat you like a robot, There are so many rules, Its an extremely bad environment and reminds me of third world treatment, Not many people last because of the extremely strict attitude of the managers, Everyone is treated like robots and you would never believe its the UK .
