Love the passion when he starts talking about the potential business models that you could be starting based on this purchase... keep it up.

This was a super helpful comparison! As an example of what we’re trying to see at ultra high frame rates, it’s useful for capturing fractures across brittle surfaces during impact/bending so we understand material properties better for things like the glass on your phone screens :)

I have the Chronos 1.4 and it still works great! I tried to overcrank the fps of a wet spinning tennis ball on my page. But the creativity of Macro Room is so inspiring! I would like to see what a future 4K version of the Chronos would be. 👍

When you said, what can you record? The future? I spit my cereal out laughing so hard. I don’t know. Just struck me funny as hell. Thanks for the video and the good laugh.

If I had the money I would definitely buy it. I make a lot of RC videos on tiktok and man I have a lot of ideas

With the Chronos 2.1 you can shoot using the end trigger (release the trigger after the moment has past) and there is a 3rd party battery that will last 1.5 hrs...

Super helpful comparison! Thanks a lot!
I am actually looking for a high-speed camera for laser dust velocimetry and Chronos attracted but I am not pleased with those max 11 seconds of recording.
From the datasheets, it results that Freefly with 2TB storage admits up to 35 mins of recording! But it has a lower max when FPS compared to Chronos.
For Chronos it seems that it is possible to transfer files directly to a computer via the ethernet connection using NFS and SMB. I wonder if you experienced this option for Chronos operation?

Some people say that the freefly is a pain to use. i think it also has some issues with the sensor.

hello everyone can you guys help me, is there any websites for used chronos cameras. I don't have enough budget for a new one so I'm looking for to buy a used or rent it for some time (I'm in europe)

Owning VS renting is a somewhat difficult topic. If you are efficient and plan correctly, renting is often better, but if you are not and like to do videos spontaneously, owning the right equipment might free you creatively.

If we could make a mirror that could accurately shift position like a million times a second we could make a high speed camera made of dozens of low speed cameras, code it so that they each take a different frame and combine all of the footage into something with a ridiculous FPS.

Do you have a page people can go to to check out different highspeed cameras?
I have a crappy JVC from 2009 that shoot 200fps at 640x480 and 500fps at 320x175 (so stupid).

Is there anything that shoots at 720p around 200fps or even 400fps at 720?

cool video, cant wait to see more, that camera must be very expensive to be capturing stuff like that
