LSU put a 5'7 guard who overcommits on cutting off lateral movement on a 6' girl with a quick release, pull up capability and range. OH and coach chose to leave her on an island with literally no help on pick and role. They had the big stay in the literal paint instead of step up and prevent a 3. They gave Clark a cone drill for majority of the game. She wasn't fouled on a single 3, few would classify as contested, and it's pretty easy to shoot over someone 5 inches shorter than you with 3 feet of space.

This is on the coach more so than HVL.

Ngl I only watched the highlights and remember thinking “she can’t guard Clarke” but the lack of adjustment is traitorous behavior by the coaching staff.

I put more on the coach than Hailey. They had no game plan for Clark and didn't adjust at all when she got hot. I don't think she saw a single double team all game.
