I heard this last night performed by the Minnesota Orchestra with Eric Whitacre as the conductor.  This is definitely one of my new favorites!!!

I have listened to this piece in several renditions, usually with younger orchestras and find this one the most thrilling. These kids love this and smile and get into it in most appealing ways. I love this piece of music, seemingly way beyond any sensible or reasonable logic. I'm quite obsessed with it. I listen to it a few times a day, at least and am trying always to get more information about it. Love this. Walt

This is my second comment over the year.
The overjoyed shouting at the end of performance makes me imagine that this must be a feeling of a moment as if being released into outer space beyond the atmosphere.
I will comment the third after a year, if I still in here..^^♪
