The Maria Montessori Song

This is a song I learned during my training at the Toronto Montessori Institute. I believe it was created by a former student. My Casa class sings it every year at graduation.

On the continent of europe
in a country called Italy
lived a doctor named Maria Montessori
She was a busy doctor
but she gave it up for children
and created the Casa di Bambini
There was spooning
metal insets
the pink tower and binomial cube
There were sandpaper letters
and the moveable alphabet
and the map of the continents of the world
Here we are, working hard
celebrating with all our friends
so lets give a cheer
It's been <insert number of years> years
Montessori will never end
