I got this for Christmas around 1978-79 and it was the most amazing gift ever.

My brother got this for Christmas in 1978, while I ended up with the Mattel racing game. The problem with the old red LED games was that you could never see the action in any kind of daylight situation. The key to winning this game and achieving the highest score was to get your shots away before the enemies appeared on screen. After about 20 shots the game would automatically end if you had not already been hit by a Cylon.

Wow! I can't believe I found this. This was my favorite toy that I got for Christmas from an uncle. I was actually pretty good at it. It provided me hours and hours of entertainment. It would be cool if they re-produced these. I would love to play again.

I was born in 71 and I had this game when I was 8 or 9. I absolutely loved this game and thought it was cool as shit! Remember it being super fun to play! Thanks for the memories . Would absolutely love to find this to buy and get some of the old magic back.

Oh damn I used to have that hand held video game as a little kid in the 1978 or maybe 1979 back then. It makes me feel home sick and build a time machine to go back home in the 70's.

There was a distinct pattern to the game, once you learned it, you could get a perfect score. I played that game way too much😋

Got one this ecently. Unbelievably addicting to play. It is my favorite in my collection. Actually, all mattel handhelds are all extremely playable even for todays standards. For one thing they are even faster to load up than you would a game on a phone today!

Awesome handheld and very popular in the late 70's. I have mine proudly displayed amongst many other handhelds from that era. I have explored every type of home & portable gaming device throughout my life and always gravitate back to these simple electronic games that started the gaming industry. These are not meant to be compared to today's games as they exceed 40 years in technology. These are to be preserved and admired as the first portable electronic games that captured the imagination and attention of kids in the world that were fortunate like myself to have at a young age.
