Daniel Webber Talks The Punisher and Being An Australian Actor

Today I am at the Chateau Marmont, where Bird in Hand is presenting the 10th Anniversary Heath Ledger Scholarship award to one of the finalists.

The scholarship was established in 2008 in memory of Australian actor Heath Ledger who served as an ambassador of the organization, the Scholarship is awarded to an actor who exhibits distinctive and unique potential.

COVID has made some strange things happen - I am currently in a part time job here on the Central Coast in Australia with other folks who are waiting for this pandemic to pass. One of those guys is this very humble Aussie: Daniel Webber who is relatively unknown to guys around him.
When I first met him around October last year I queried his accent to which he explained was American but that he was an Aussie. A few further questions of interest revealed that he lived in the US for a number of years and earned his living by being a part time actor and driving trucks in between.
When probed, he stated that his more notable role was in the Marvel "The Punisher" series. And that was where we left the conversation. A week ago I finally caught up with my Netflix playlist with The Punisher and lo and behold Daniel Webber has a prominent role in the first 10 episodes. Anyone with such a role should have the right to boast about it - this guy hasn't. I'm now a fan who is binge watching all his movies.
