If my children were having a play date at my house, I specifically went and bought goodies for them all. it never occurred to me that I should charge them just like it never occurred to me that somebody would send me a bill for what my children consumed at their house. My advice to you is stop letting your children have play dates at your house.

This chick is crazy! Me and my man even give my daughter and her friends basically $100 for every 2 kids just to go to the movies and they go like 4-6 deep. They eat me outta house and home and we all hospitable and buy more food! That’s crazy billing the parents! If that’s the case don’t have the friends over at all! Everyone is focused on the snacks part but lets acknowledge the 3 squirts of soap for hand washing, 10 minutes of marker use, AND 45 minutes of electricity use, just IMAGINE you told someone your kid can go over and hang out with their kid for a bit, but everything they do or eat, you have to pay for, absolutely ridiculous

My mother would have NEVER done anything like this. I think if you are a parent and you have kids, just know that your kids are going to have friends. You child is going to ask if their friend/friends can come over to play or hangout. I think it just comes with the territory that your child and their friends are going to eat your food and drink your sodas or juices. On any given weekend or summer break my Mom was always feeding me and my brother's friends. We would have at least four or five kids at our house at any given time. My Mom would act as short hand cook to all of our friends. During lunchtime, she would be feeding all of us kids. She'd be pulling out all the deli lunch meats. Ham, turkey, baloney, pb&j, chips, making sandwiches for us and our friends. Never once did she ever complain.
