SOLIDWORKS PRESENTATION Audi R8 Car Complete Tutorial [FREE]

This is an advanced tutorial teaching users how to employ advanced surface modeling to create an Audi R8 using Solidworks.

Solidworks Audi R8 Complete Tutorial

What you will learn

1) Surface extrudes-Simply create complex surfaces with an open 2d sketch
2) Surface trims-Allows the user to remove geometry with intersecting surfaces
3) Surface sweeps – Create surfaces defined by an open 2d sketch and guide curve
4) Boundary surfaces-Generates an intelligent surface to connect 2 independent surfaces
5) Surface offsets – Allows user to repopulate a new surface at a predetermined distance from an existing surface
6) Split lines-Create multiple faces from a single geometry or face
7) Ruled surfaces-Essentially creates a flange from the edge of a surface
8) Surface knits-Combine surfaces to form a single surface
9) Surface cuts-Cut an object using an existing surface
10) Surface fills-Close an open surface
11) Surface lofts-Create complex shapes from multiple 2d sketches or curves
12) Variable fillets-Create fillets that go from predetermined radius to a single point
13) Body move copy-Move features within an existing part file

I started learning solidworks in September. completely from Youtube. Monday I started my internship at a prestigious engineering firm, where I primarily muck around in Solidworks. Thank you so much

Hey if you ran on a self-intersecting geometry problem, happened to me at round 53:00 using academic SW 2014, try changing curves influence from “Global” to “To next edge” and check “Trim by direction1” and “Trim by direction 2” under Options and Preview right away.

There is some miss up at 1:44:30
two  soundtracks are merged together and there are some missing steps

please! not after i have done all of that!

The video explanation and technics are really great!!! but there some video parts which aren't there because where cut, and, in 3:55, the video went back to construct surface for the door glass. Your technic is real efficient and I'm learning to take it for my projects

The link given in description has blueprints only. Please post one for the missing videos too.

I really like your job. I am having fun looking at your sketch and following your steps. But I have been facing a stupid problem. Around 1:15:00 of the clip, where you are trimming the surface where the inside of the car will be, I cannot trim it. It says something like it is not related to the surface. Would you please help me figure it out? Thanks

Hey, nice video. Can you explain why you use split line instead of intersection curve when creating some of the reference lines on the surfaces. Seems like you can use either to achieve the same results yet you flip between using both techniques. Thanks
