15 DOS Games Still Worth Playing (MS-DOS)

Here's a list of fifteen DOS games that I think are still really enjoyable, and worth playing today. It was hard picking only fifteen as there are so many good games. This is by no means a 'top 15', just games that I recommend playing, and in no particular order.

You're right! The dos games had GORGEOUS packaging and art! Sometimes the packaging was more interesting than its contents. That was fun, looking at boxed game software in the 90s.

The cutscenes from C&C and Red Alert were WAY ahead of their time. Amazing. Still play RA today.

Master of Orion 2 and Master of Magic are still on the short lists for best space and fantasy 4X games.

Ultima Underworld is arguably the king of all DOS games and is the precedent for all future 1st person games as it allowed full 3D movement. One modern day critic described it as virtual reality on a keyboard.
