I was in high school. This takes me back to when my grandma was working as a nurse. She always had the car radio tuned to country, but this was a crossover hit I recognized and loved. In the Pacific Northwest, those windshield wipers were always “slappin’ out a tempo, ” while my grandma was driving me to the mall to shop or to he diner for dinner after she got off work. I sure miss those days and her.

One of the best road songs ever! And you don't need to be a truck driver to relate✌😁📻🎶🎶🎵

Eddie Rabbitt was a truly great artist. Few people know he wrote songs for Elvis Presley before he became big himself. This is such a fun song, one of those classic songs that just makes you smile and wanna sing along when you listen! 😊

I came to the United States in 1980. My Homeland was to that Time Germany. I had a great Dream to that Time. To Drive a real Truck. Not like this Toys like in Germany. So came it, that this Dream grows up. My Wife said to me something I will never forget:" Baby, I will make a License for Truck Driving and after that we leave Germany. We make that Dream come true."The first five years we worked for a Company. After that we bought two Trucks. For me an Peterbilt 359 and for her a Kenworth. Now that was 40 Jears ago... Oh Man, where is the Time? But our Trucks are alive and we drive it all day.

Not a truck driver, but all relatable, “I’m working my life away looking for a better way for me”, that’s why it’s called life, liberty and “the pursuit of happiness”. I never said you would arrive there. Great Music!

Once in a while i'd hit the highway with my older brother who drove a big truck for the better part of a decade. Went all over the south western states from one highway to the next, one load to the other. He was a knight of the highway. Showed me how tough life on the road could be. Dangerous too. These guys have balls and they are all alone out there most of the time. I miss those days. It was a better era.
