President Nelson's 100th Birthday Celebration

Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined family and friends on Monday, September 9, 2024, to honor Prophet and Church President Russell M. Nelson on his 100th birthday.

The event was held in the Conference Center Theater on Temple Square in Salt Lake City and broadcast around the world.

President Nelson thanked family, friends and Latter-day Saints for their kindness and support. He shared his appreciation for the countless birthday messages and the global response to his “99+1” invitation, which encouraged people to reach out to those in need.

All the prophets have been men of God who have led exemplary, Christ-centered lives. However, in my life President Nelson has helped me feel most clearly the love that our Saviour has for me and indeed for all of God’s children. Thank you, President Nelson!

I'm a preparing sister missionary who is stationed in Austin, Texas and I leave in march. I am so excited! However, while preparing for my mission I've realized that Lucifer would target me 7x more than usual
Which has lead me to question more of the church and end up in me having difficulty believing, researching it, strengthening my testimony, and so forth- Well- although I had a basic love for our prophet after seeing this I now have a full testimony and a full love for our prophet. I love being a woman in the LDS church as the lord has shown me how much he loves and adores his daughters and treats us so gently and when hearing that hes made all the woman in his life feel empowered, never put them down, nor criticized them, and respected them, and told them how we are crucial of gods plan. That is such a beautiful message! May the prophet be blessed by our lord and savior Jesus Christ for he has been the true definition and example of a man of god! All sisters of the church love you so so much president Russel M Nelson! Much love, peace, internet hugs and kisses and happy 100th birthday to the old man the whole world can trust 🧡
