Bruce Springsteen turns 71 years old today. This track, originally from his "Tunnel of Love" album, was released just a couple of weeks after his 38th birthday! It deals with the prospect of a potential new romance later in life in a brutally honest way. Optimism is still in the air but it has been tempered over the years. Something I can't recall from any other song.

I love to watch Colvin's playing in this totally unplugged version. It is somehow so stripped down while sounding so full at the same time.

I saw her in concert at the Wiltern in Beverly hills. I've also seen her at the Creek theater. Each time I was really impressed by her voice and picking of the guitar. Great version of a good song. Perfect for her to do.
