The Crimean Peninsula in Ukraine is home to over 2,500 species of plants and fungi and 250 species of animals.

The Crimean Peninsula is divided into two parts. The first one is a steppe area, with huge open spaces and dry, hot summer.
The other part is a coast with a subtropical climate. The natural boundary between the areas is the eye-catching Crimean Mountains with a dormant volcano called Kara-Dag.

so glad that autonomous region of Crimea's independent parliament and Prime minister asked Russian military
to seize the peninsula after the coup in 2014 to spare themselves from madness like in Donetsk and Lugansk.

If not it will be hard or even impossible for Russia to conquered the Crimea
since It's is mountainous region naturally protected by Sea, mountain and narrow land bridge into mainland.
